The prolific artist Vincenttrinidad is from the Philippines and he calls his art style “Japanese Retro Aesthetics.” He enjoys collecting toys from “childhood for inspiration and nostalgia” and using them to fuel his vintage ‘80s-inspired designs. He admits that the most difficult part of creating is the initial push to begin a project. Although he considers the blank page to be daunting, once he begins a design it takes on a life of its own.
Vincenttrinidad encourages other artists to never lose “your own artistic voice.” He recognizes that clients need artists to add their own unique element and “vision” and do more than just simply “execute [the client’s] ideas.” He believes that working with a client is a collaboration or a blending of ideas and styles to create something for everyone.
He is also proud of the fact that he has been able to “make a living and freedom doing my own art.” He loves that he can pursue his artistic passion as a career and he hopes to continue on this path “for as long as possible.”
He is constantly reaching for fresh and exciting goals and he can’t wait to share his newest custom products like exclusive all-over tess and hats with the DBH community!
