Moisescudero’s designs are like a doorway into a dream world. The detailed graphics welcome audiences into a place where imagination becomes a reality.

His surrealist style – with a touch of humor and sudden depth – conjure up feelings of warmth, anticipation, and curiosity in his viewers. We cannot help but wish to be a part of a world where cats live on the moon, penguins can fly, and even a frightened chicken can achieve his dream of becoming a dragon.

Moisescudero, also known as Moisés, is from a small village named La Iruela in the Andalucia region of Spain. He shares that his home has a “quiet beauty” and is filled with natural parks, historical sites, and everything that he could ever want to call “home.” His earliest memory of being an artist was visiting the local castle in his village and sketching it by pencil. His parents’ encouragement and appreciation of the sketch “motivated [him] to continue” to pursue art as he got older. Today, he is never without his iPad Pro or a small sketchbook of watercolors so that he can draw “many pictures wherever I am.”

He is currently working on an illustration series about the connection between nature and spirituality. He admits that when he is feeling “lost on my work” he turns to artists and composers like Shaun Tan, John Mortensen, Simon Stalenhag, and more. He loses himself in the worlds invented by these artists and finds inspiration for his own dream-like creations. Still, he confesses that he never publishes a design without first looking to his girlfriend or close friends for advice because they are the “most important critics to me.”

Moisés is excited about his creative future and believes that if he continues to work hard that “I’m sure the future will give me some path” to pursue his dream. He does not “fear the destiny” or his artistic passion because he understands that all he needs to be happy is the chance to follow his dreams.
