Located in our sunny Northern California office, we at Design By Humans proudly embrace the “tree-hugging hippie” stereotype of the West Coast. Do we eat granola? You bet! Do we hate plastic bags? We say send them all back to Hell where they came from!
However, we’re more than just granola-eating plastic bag haters. In fact, we work every day to follow the best sustainability practices available and strive to protect our planet for future generations. We recognize that — as Hümans — we are all on this beautiful planet together and it’s important that we are conscientious and ethical members of our society.
Design By Humans prides itself on being a socially conscious brand; it produces the highest quality apparel in California with environmentally friendly phthalate free, water-based inks, whenever possible. We are also a committed and compassionate company that selects every garment by hand and guarantees sweatshop and child labor free shirts. Our printing facility — located in the same Northern California office — is filled with granola and love. Just kidding (at least about the granola part)! Our in-house printing facility guarantees safe practices and the best working conditions for our team.
We are eager to provide the best quality product to our community, while also finding the safest and most Earth-friendly processes available. Our t-shirts are printed using state-of-the-art screen-printing and other quality apparel printing techniques, including inks that do not negatively impact our environment. We also visit the facility that makes our DBH bags to ensure that orders are shipped using recycled materials.
We tirelessly pursue new ways to bring art to life with screen-printing and digital printing techniques; our on-demand printing process means that we have no wasted inventory and we contribute less waste to the environment. We’re all about keeping the oceans blue, the forests green, and the mountain air crisp and clear.
