Head to the great outdoors with the DBH artist SommersethArt and surround yourself with the buzz and hum of nature with these sleek minimalistic nature designs. The “self-taught illustrator” grew up in Norway and admits that being surrounded by the majestic Scandinavian landscape “naturally had a huge impact on the art I create today.”

SommersethArt, or Anette Sommerseth, shares that she has always been interested in drawing but it “took some time for me to find my own style.” In fact, it was not until she discovered the unique art style that blended geometric shapes and natural landscapes together that she was encouraged to “develop my own art and style” from it. She feels like her ideas come to her during the sketching process and then evolve into a full-fledged design on paper.

Anette describes her creative process as a “great form of meditation” because it is both relaxing and yet it also somehow encourages her to stay focused at the same time.

However, if she is having trouble focusing on her art then she puts down her pen, clears her mind, and takes a break outside or looks at nature photography to feel inspired. She believes that nature gives her a sense of peace and it continues to inspire her every day.
