Featured Artist: T.A. Bryant
If you love the taste of Skittles, then you’ll love T.A. Bryant’s fun and eclectic art designs. The DBH artist compares his style to the colorful candy because, like his art, “there are just so many different flavors and combinations in a bag that the possibilities could be endless!” His lively designs are the perfect way to add a little more color and humor to your day.
Thomas currently lives in New York City, but he is drawn to the sun, sand, and culture of Southern California and hopes to move across the country within the next few years. One of his greatest struggles with his art is finding “one particular style for myself.” As a professional graphic designer he creates art for Urban Outfitters, Hot Topic, Spencer’s, and more; he admits that it can be difficult to find one style that fits his personality because it is his job to create the perfect style for everyone else instead. Nevertheless, he always strives for perfection and pushes himself to move on or “finish” a piece because he can “get too caught up in an image” and will spend months working on it.
Bryant declares that he has made art “my main pursuit” and — whether he is at his job or at home — he is always creating something. However, he is especially excited to use his art to represent pop culture and politics in the future. As his style evolves, he hopes that is art will take on a new “cohesive style” and might even become 3D or something that can be “experienced in virtual reality.”
